An integral aspect of our work as an organization is maintaining a deep knowledge of current events that impact people in our community.
Policy AdvocacyOur involvement in youth programs throughout Blaine County is twofold: Support and advocate for youth climate action organizations; Bolster existing youth programs seeking to increase climate literacy in their curriculum offerings
We understand that climate action often feels overwhelming. There are many intertwined issues and differing opinions on which ones our communities should prioritize. Our digital educational resources cover a wide range of topics, from climate disaster preparedness to energy conservation to resilient gardening practices. Each month, we publish a digital resource on a specific topic, with the goal of making climate action accessible and approachable for all.
Once a season, we will also host an event related to a recent digital resource topic. We are looking forward to hearing from a multitude of community experts and voices. These collaborations are an important part of creative, efficient resiliency in our community.
Gardening in high-desert, high-altitude climates like we have here in Blaine County can be tricky for new gardeners. We've compiled local resources to help you be successfully in growing your 5B Resilience Garden this year and for years to come!
5B Resilient hosts monthly interviews with members of our community and experts in areas of resilience. Every interview is recorded and made available here for viewing at any time.
