Amy Mattias is the Executive Director of the Sun Valley Institute for Resilience. During her tenure at SVIR, her visionary leadership led to the inception of the Impact Idaho Fund, the publication of four annual Locally Grown Guides, and the facilitation of a diverse range of educational and engagement events. Her tireless efforts have played a crucial role in nurturing connections between countless food producers and enthusiastic buyers.
Amy's accomplishments extend even further. As the lead author of a semi-finalist submission in the Rockefeller, Open IDEO, and SecondMuse prize competition for a 2050 Food Vision, she showcased her innovative thinking and commitment to shaping a sustainable food future. Beyond her role at the Sun Valley Institute, Amy is an integral part of the Idaho Center for Sustainable Agriculture as the board secretary. She also takes on the position of chair for the Food & Ag Committee at FARE Idaho. In a collaborative spirit, Amy has taken on significant responsibilities as the co-lead of the Right-Size Investment and Infrastructure Theme Team at the Northwest and Rocky Mountain Regional Food Business Center. Her impactful contributions also extend to the Idaho Steering Committee.
Not content to rest on her laurels, Amy is currently pursuing a Master's of Science degree through the Arizona State University's Swette Center for Sustainable Food Systems. Her dedication to continuous learning reflects her deep-seated passion for sustainability and food systems.
