Founded in 2006 following the devastating injury of a local skier, the Bald Mountain Rescue Fund (BMRF) has assisted dozens of residents by providing donors a fee-free, tax-deductible means of offering support to those who have experienced catastrophic illness, injury or unexpected deaths. In our current unprecedented circumstances, BMRF is releasing funds from a small community endowment to provide additional business and to help local establishments in their efforts to make take-out meals available.
How Does It Work?
Locals helping locals! BMRF is simply making cash available to participating restaurants to use as they deem most appropriate. Some participants use funds to distribute gift cards to those in need or to organizations providing help to those in need. The only caveat is that funds be used expressly for meals, not other operating costs. The one-time infusion of $20,000 will be divided evenly among Ketchum and the South Valley, listed below. Additional restaurants will be added as they re-open, dependent on additional fundraising.
